Desde 2019, o Climáximo está num estado de emergência climática e um dos nossos compromissos é “contrariar e desmantelar dentro do nosso colectivo as dinâmicas socioculturais de hierarquia de poder e privilégio”. Estes esforços produziram, para além de muitas outras coisas internas, uma nova ferramenta que permite registar o tempo que os homens-cis ocupam nas reuniões, em relação a presença real deles. Na verdade, é uma variante do www.arementalkingtoomuch.com . A nossa versão permite tomar nota de nível de participação (online e offline), e também compara os valores com a composição das pessoas na reunião.

Apesar de ser muito aquém de perfeito, ajudou-nos dar visibilidade à nossa própria realidade. Em cada reunião, temos um homem-cis responsável por registar a informação; no fim da reunião (mas antes de acabar) partilhamos os resultados. Com tempo e insistência, conseguimos melhorar bastante o nosso funcionamento interno.

We proudly present a new tool we developed.
Since 2019, Climáximo is in a permanent state of climate emergency and one of our commitments is to “dismantle the socio-cultural dynamics of power and privilege hierarchies within our collective”. These efforts produced, among other internal decisions, a tool that allows you to register the speaking time cis-men occupy in meetings, with respect to their actual existence. In fact, this is a variant of the arementalkingtoomuch.com tool. Our version permits taking note of the degree of participation (online and offline) and also compares the values with the composition of the meeting.

While imperfect, the tool helped us give visibility to our own reality. In each meeting we assign a cis-man to register the data; at the end of the meeting (before closing) we share the results. With time and insistence, we managed to improve our internal dynamics.
